Nominator's project description
| Professor Karimi is one of the internationally leading scientists for the development and application of porous heterogeneous catalysts in fine-chemical synthesis. In his work, he perfectly combines strategies concerning the optimization of specific carrier materials by tailoring their surface and pore properties with excellent experiences in designing catalytically active sites on these surfaces. With his stay in Germany, he will strengthen his collaborations in the mentioned areas and in particular in solid-state material characterization and in the use of renewable raw materials as substrates for chemical transformations. |
